CU Shah Medical College & Hospital (CUSMC), Surendranagar – Application/Admission Process

CU Shah Medical College & Hospital offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in medicine. The admission process for these courses is primarily based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores.

Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS:

  • Age:The candidate must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
  • Education:The candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • NEET UG:Qualification in the NEET UG exam is mandatory.

For MD/MS:

  • Education:The candidate must hold an MBBS degree with a minimum of 50% marks from an NMC-recognized institution.
  • Internship:Completion of a one-year internship by March 31 of the admission year is required.
  • NEET PG:Qualification in the NEET PG exam is necessary.

Admission Process

  • NEET Exam:Candidates must appear and qualify in either the NEET UG for MBBS or NEET PG for MD/MS courses.

Registration for Counseling:

  • For MBBS, candidates need to register with the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC).
  • For MD/MS, registration is done with the Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC).

Counseling Process:

  • After registration, candidates participate in a centralized counseling process where they fill their preferences for colleges and courses.
  • Seats are allocated based on NEET scores and preferences filled during counseling.

Document Verification and Admission Confirmation:

  • Once a seat is allocated, the candidate must report to the designated college with required documents for verification.
  • Admission is confirmed after paying the admission fee and submitting necessary documents.

  • Qualifying examination mark sheets (10th and 12th).
  • NEET UG mark sheet.
