Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and the UGC Act, 1956, along with accreditation from several other statutory bodies including- PCI, INC, UAU, IPC, NCISM, UBTER, and CoA. It has earned several accolades such as the Best Emerging University by the Asian Education Conclave and recognition for Best Placement & Excellence in Academics in North India by the Ministry of Human Resources Development.
In terms of rankings, DBUU holds notable positions regionally and nationally. It was ranked 25th among the top universities in North India in the Times Engineering Survey and 31st among the top 70 private institutes. The university's B.Tech program was ranked 169th out of 200 colleges by Outlook in 2025 and 66th out of 175 colleges by The Times of India in the same year.
