Dr Y S R Architecture and Fine Arts University Application/Admission Process

Dr. YSR ARCHITECTURE AND FINE ARTS UNIVERSITY - ADMISSIONS

Dr. YSR Architecture and Fine Arts University (YSRAFU), Kadapa admits students to B.Arch, B.Tech, BFA, B.Design and related PG programmes through different entrance tests such as NATA, AP EAPCET/EAMCET, AP ADCET and a university-level PGCET, with 2026 schedules largely following the pattern of the 2025 cycle and official notifications to be issued on the university website.

Admission Process-

Admission to Dr. YSR Architecture and Fine Arts University is always a two-step process: first qualifying in the relevant entrance test (NATA / AP EAPCET / AP ADCET / university test), and then completing counselling, document verification, and fee payment to confirm the seat.

Step 1: Identify Course & Entrance Exam

  • B.Arch: Admission through NATA (and also JEE Main Paper-2 score where applicable) with AP state counselling under APSCHE.

  • B.Tech (DTDP, FSP, Planning, Game Design Technologies, Construction Technology, etc.): Admission via AP EAPCET/AP EAMCET conducted by APSCHE.
  • BFA/B.Des (Interior Design and all Fine Arts specialisations): Admission through AP ADCET (Art & Design Common Entrance Test) conducted by YSRAFU.

Step 2: Apply for the Relevant Entrance Test

  • NATA / AP EAPCET:

      • Register on the respective official portals, fill application form, upload documents, and pay the fee within the deadline, then download the admit card and appear for the exam.

  • AP ADCET (for BFA/B.Des):

    • Fill the AP ADCET online application form via YSRAFU/APSCH E-CET portal, check eligibility, upload photo, signature and certificates, pay fee and submit before the last date; retain login details for admit card, result and counselling.

Step 3: Check Result and Participate in Counselling

    • For each stream (B.Arch / B.Tech / AP ADCET courses), results are declared online with rank or score card.

  • Candidates then:

    • Register for online counselling on the APSCHE/ADCET or AP EAPCET counselling portal.
    • Fill in college and course choices (including YSRAFU and its constituent colleges) in order of preference.

Step 4: Seat Allotment and Merit Lists

  • Seats are allotted based on entrance test rank, category reservations and choices filled; YSRAFU notes that a merit list is prepared on written test/score for each course.
  • Shortlisted candidates receive allotment information/admit to admission round and must follow the schedule for reporting, failing which the seat may move to the next merit list or second round.

Step 5: Reporting, Document Verification and Fee Payment

  • At the time of admission, candidates report to the university/allocated college with originals and photocopies of required documents (10th & 12th mark sheets, transfer/migration certificates, entrance rank card, category/reservation certificates, ID proof, photos, etc.).
  • University authorities verify certificates; only after successful verification candidates pay the prescribed tuition and other fees to confirm their admission, after which remaining vacancies (if any) are filled via a second merit list or subsequent counselling rounds.
