The admission process for the Government College of Engineering (GCE), Kalahandi for the 2026–2027 academic session is strictly regulated by the Government of Odisha and the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).

Admission is centralized and entrance-based; there is no direct management quota admission at this institution.

Eligibility Criteria-

  • Tech- Passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories).
  • Tech (Lateral)- A 3-year Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree with at least 45% marks.
  • Tech Admission- A Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in a relevant field with at least 50% marks.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Register:Apply for JEE Main/ (UG) or OJEE (PG/Lateral) on their respective official websites.
  2. Counselling Registration:Once ranks are out, register on the OJEE  portal (ojee.nic.in).
  3. Choice Filling:Lock "GCE Kalahandi" and your preferred branch (e.g., CSE, Civil).
  4. Seat Allotment:Check the portal for allotment results. If you get a seat, you must "Freeze" it and pay the part-admission fee online.
  5. Document Verification:Visit the designated Nodal Center with original documents for verification.
  6. Final Reporting:Report to the GCE Kalahandi campus in Bhawanipatna to pay the remaining balance and confirm your admission
