Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University (MAHGU), Pauri Garhwal, provides various scholarship programs and fee concession schemes to ensure accessible, affordable higher education, particularly supporting students from rural areas, socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and high academic achievers.

1. Institutional & Merit-Based Scholarships

University Merit Scholarship: Offered to students demonstrating outstanding performance in qualifying examinations (Class 10th, 12th, or Graduation) or emerging as top rankers in university academic terms. The exact number and financial percentage (tuition fee waivers ranging up to partial/full waivers) are decided annually by the university's Board of Governors.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Provides tuition fee waivers (typically around 10% to 20%) to academically qualified candidates coming from families with a total annual income below Rs.4,00,000.

Uttarakhand Domicile Fee Concession: Under the statutory provisions of the university, 31% of total seats are reserved for permanent residents of Uttarakhand. Candidates admitted under this quota receive special fee concessions on tuition across various diploma, UG, and PG programs.
