The Indian Institute of Cost and Management Studies and Research (IndSearch) in Pune offers several scholarship and financial aid options for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students. These primarily consist of government-backed schemes, university-level merit awards, and category-specific concessions.

Below is a breakdown of the available scholarships:

1. Government and State Scholarships (MahaDBT)

Students admitted through the centralized process (CAP) are eligible for various Maharashtra state government scholarships based on their social category and financial background:

  • SC/ST Category: Post-Matric Scholarship and tuition fee freeships provided by the Government of India and the Tribal Development Department. 

  • OBC/VJNT/SBC Category: Significant waivers and reimbursements of tuition and examination fees. 

  • EBC (Economically Backward Class): Under the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojna, students from the open category with a family income below ?8 Lakhs may receive a 50% tuition fee waiver. 

  • Minority Scholarships: Specifically for students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, or Jain communities.

2. National & University Scholarships

  • National Scholarship Portal (NSP) - PM-USP Yojana: Available for students with 80%+ in Class 12 and a family income under Rs.4.5 Lakhs. It can provide up to Rs.82,000 per annum. 

  • National Scholarship for PG Studies (UGC): Aimed at first-time PG students under 30 in full-time programs. 

  • Pune University Merit Scholarship: Awarded to top-ranking students in university examinations or those with exceptional academic records (typically 70%+ in qualifying exams).

3. Institutional Special Categories

IndSearch also facilitates or offers concessions for specific groups, including:

  • Single Girl Child Scholarship: Tuition fee concessions ranging from 10% to 25% for students who are the only girl child in their family. 

  • Defense/Paramilitary Ward: A fee reduction of 10% to 20% for children of serving or retired personnel. 

  • Sports Achievement Awards: Partial tuition waivers for students who have represented their district, state, or nation in recognized sports.
