The Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati has a placement cell that works towards providing students with the necessary training and guidance to prepare them for the industry.

The placement process is carried out by the Placement Cell, which allots dates to companies for campus interviews based on certain details provided by the company. The companies confirm the dates with the Placement Cell, and the cell sends invitations to companies along with relevant information.

Companies/organizations fill a Company Registration Form (CRF) containing details of the job offer, such as pay package, tentative job location, allowances, and other bonuses. The CRF is made available online to the students along with all the information furnished by the companies.

As per the latest data, the highest salary offered was INR 120 LPA (CTC) while the average/lowest salary offered was INR 15.5 LPA (CTC).
