The Indira Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIET) in Kerala has an active placement program for its students. The Placement Unit is headed by a full-time Training and Placement officer, supported by faculty members and student coordinators. The student placement records have consistently raised the bar for the placement division's history. Each year, numerous new companies come to the campus to recruit candidates. The recruiting partners have lauded the alumni's performance across diverse sectors, including product-based, service-based, and core industries.
The department facilitates both on-campus and off-campus recruitment, along with pre-placement training programs that include aptitude tests, group discussions, interviews, and presentation skills workshops. Regular mock interviews and group discussions are held to prepare the final and pre-final year students for the rigours of the recruitment process.
