Institute of Law, Govt. Kamla Raja Girls Autonomus P.G. College, Gwalior Scholarships & Eligibility

Government Kamla Raja Girls Autonomous P.G. College (KRG), Gwalior, facilitates several prominent Madhya Pradesh state scholarships. Since it is a government-run institution for women, students can often cover their entire tuition fee through these schemes.

1. Specialized Schemes for Girls

These are the most popular scholarships at KRG, specifically designed to promote higher education among women in MP.

  • Gaon Ki Beti Yojana:

    • Eligibility: For girls residing in rural areas who passed their 12th exam with at least 60% marks from a village school.

    • Benefit: Financial assistance of Rs.500 per month for 10 months (?5,000 annually) for the duration of the degree.

  • Pratibha Kiran Yojana:

    • Eligibility: Aimed at talented girls living in urban areas under the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category who passed their 12th with 60% or more.

    • Benefit: In Gwalior, students typically receive Rs.2,000 per month (?20,000 annually) as it is a major divisional city.

2. Merit-Based Scholarships

  • Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY):

    • Eligibility: MP domicile students who scored 70% or above in MP Board or 85% or above in CBSE/ICSE in their 12th exams. Family income must be under ?6 Lakhs.

    • Benefit: 100% tuition fee reimbursement. This is ideal for students in "Self-Finance" courses like Biotechnology or BCA where fees are higher.

  • Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojna:

    • Eligibility: For children of parents registered as "Unorganized Workers" (Sambal Card holders) in Madhya Pradesh.

3. Category-Based Scholarships (MPTAAS)

Managed through the MPTAAS (Tribal Affairs Automation System) portal, these are based on social category:

  • Post-Matric Scholarship (SC/ST/OBC):

    • SC/ST: No income limit for government college students; covers 100% of fees plus a maintenance allowance.
