The K.L.E. Society Belgaum was the brain child of seven great teachers in the year 1916.It has an excellent tradition of seizing an opportunity of serving the national interest. It has always come up with useful programmes, keeping the primary concern of our own people over other considerations. As it is said ‘Every great organization is a lengthened shadow of a single person’ the society got into overdrive after it chose Dr Prabhakar Kore as chairman in the year 1984. It is not at all exaggeration to say that it might be divine intervention that made him chairman BUT what transpired after that and continue to happen since 27 years in the realms of education in our state is nothing less than a miracle.With its network of 250 Institutions, the KLE-Society has been converted into an “Educational Empire” in the spheres of Basic sciences, Healthcare, Medical, Engineering, IT, Law, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Nursing, Fashion and many more conventional and upcoming disciplines, exceeding 5 billion inexhaustible assets, with faculty of over 10,000, molding the destinies of over 83,000 students, right from playschools to Post Doctoral studies. The society has been a brand name not only in India but even globally.

The society’s phenomenal growth in the last 20 years, tells us a tale of “service before self” attitude of its board of management ably guided by dynamic and visionary leader Dr. Prabhakar Kore as its Chairman and and supportive President Shri Shivanand Koujalgi. The society made a very sincere initiative by starting this Institute in the year 2006.This is first of its kind in North Karnataka and one of the 250 institutions run by the society which is ably headed since 1984 by Dr Prabhakar Kore M.P and Chairman with his team of Board of Directors and members of the society.
