Matrusri Engineering College (MEC), situated in Saidabad, Hyderabad, is a prominent autonomous institution established in 2011. Admission Process

Admissions to the undergraduate B.E. programs are conducted through the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET), managed by the state government.

• Convener Quota (70%): The majority of seats are filled through the centralized TG EAPCET counseling process. Candidates must qualify for the exam, register on the official counseling portal, attend document verification, and exercise their college and course preferences. Allotment is based on the candidate's merit rank and category.

• Management Quota (30%): Category B seats are filled at the institute level as per the guidelines laid down by the Government of Telangana. Interested candidates should contact the college administration directly for eligibility and application procedures for these seats.

• Lateral Entry: Candidates with a Diploma in Engineering can apply for lateral entry into the second year of the B.E. program, subject to qualifying in the TS ECET (Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test).

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent examination recognized by Osmania University.

• Subject Requirement: Candidates must have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.

• Entrance Exam: A valid rank in the TG EAPCET is mandatory for regular admission. Candidates must also satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.

Application Fees and Financials

• Tuition Fees: The academic tuition fee for the B.E. program is approximately ?1,03,000 per annum.

• Fee Reimbursement: Eligible students (BC, EBC, Minority) may receive fee reimbursement from the state government, subject to government sanction. Students are responsible for paying any balance tuition fees and additional special/accreditation fees (e.g., accreditation fee of INR 3,000) not covered by the government.
