National Institute of Science and Technology – Scholarship

NIST offers students and postgraduates a number of scholarship programs.

Every scholarship has its own set of guidelines that take into account extracurricular activity, attendance, and academic achievement. The scholarship is intended for specific student demographics. Based on their success in several subjects, each scholarship is awarded under a distinct category.

These scholarships encourage students to thrive in particular professions in order to bring out their greatest qualities.

• Sibling Scholarship- A student's sibling is eligible to receive this grant. The sum is Rs 10,000, given to each student just once.

• Merit Scholarship- This scholarship, which is good for one academic year, is given to all B. Tech, M. Tech, MBA, and MCA students who have a CGPA of at least 9.0 and no back papers. The choosing process may take into account other factors. Each semester, the scholarship is worth Rs. 3000.

• Teaching Assistantship Scholarship- A limited group of deserving students are chosen each year to serve as Teaching Assistants, helping faculty members with their many academic tasks. For this work, students are awarded a scholarship worth Rs. 1000 each month. TA ships are available to second-, third-, and fourth-year students in the department where 80% of the seats are occupied. For a maximum of fifty students, one student will assist with the evaluation.

• Research Assistantship Scholarship- Undergraduate and  Post graduate students collaborate with faculty members on research projects through the Research Assistantship program. For two months, each student receives a salary of Rs. 2000/-per month.

• M.Tech Scholarship- M. Tech scholarships and stipends are awarded to deserving students who enroll in NIST. Non-GATE students are given a scholarship of Rs. 4,000 per month under this program. The MHRD, Government of India, shall determine the compensation for students who receive a valid GATE score.

• Ph.D. Scholarship- Meritorious candidates admitted to NIST are given Ph.D. scholarships and stipends. Candidates are eligible to receive a scholarship of Rs 15,000 per month under this scheme.
