NORTH EAST ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY (NEAU) ADMISSIONS

The admission process, admission criteria, and selection criteria for North East Adventist University (NEAU), Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya are as follows:

Admission Process Steps:

  1. Application Form:
    • Candidates must fill out the application form available on the official NEAU website- https://www.neauniversity.in/
  2. Application Fee Payment:
    • Pay the required application processing fee of Rs 500 via bank transfer or direct deposit to the specified NEAU bank account (Indian Overseas Bank, Jowai branch).
  3. Acceptance Letter:
    • After verification, candidates receive an acceptance letter through email or WhatsApp.
  4. Fee Payment for Admission:
    • Upon receiving the acceptance letter, candidates pay the admission fees via the same bank channels.
  5. Submission of Payment Proof:
    • Applicants must send the payment receipt or counterfoil to the university cashier's contact number to confirm payment.
  6. Further Communication:
    • The Registrar’s Office communicates additional admission instructions and formalities.

Courses

Eligibility Criteria

BBA

10+2 with 45% to 60%.

B.Sc Nursing

10+2 (Science) with minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and passed in English individually.

DMLT

Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board from any stream preferably with minimum 50% marks.

BCA

XII Science from any recognised board with 45% and above aggregate.

B.Com

Candidates must have completed their 10+2 in any stream from a recognised Indian or Foreign board with 40 % aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC/EWS category. 45% aggregate marks for others category.

BMLT

Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with science as a mandatory subject, preferably with minimum 50% marks in science. 

BPT

A Candidate seeking admission to the first-year Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT); should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of XII Standard in Science Stream (10+2 pattern). The selection of students to a course of Physiotherapy shall be based on merit provided that.

M.A

Candidates should have successfully completed their Bachelor's degree (preferably arts) of a minimum 3 or 4-year duration with its equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). The bachelor's or master's degree should be from a university that is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India.

Selection Criteria:

  • Selection is primarily merit-based, focusing on the candidate’s qualifying exam marks.
  • For undergraduate professional courses, no entrance exam is mandatory as per Ministry of Education and UGC guidelines.
  • Admission is granted on fulfilling eligibility criteria and submission of all required documents and fees.
  • In some cases, counseling or interview may be conducted by the university.
