Jagananna Vidya Deevena (RTF):
Purpose: Provides full fee reimbursement (tuition, special, and exam fees) for eligible students.
Target: Students from SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and Kapu categories.
Direct Benefit: The fee amount is credited directly to the college account on behalf of the student.
Jagananna Vasathi Deevena (MTF):
Purpose: Provides financial assistance to cover food and hostel expenses.
Benefit: Eligible degree students receive ?20,000 per year, which is directly credited to the mother’s (or guardian’s) bank account.
To qualify for these scholarships, students generally must meet the following conditions:
Income Limit: The total annual family income must be ?2.5 lakhs or less.
Academic Attendance: A minimum of 75% aggregate attendance is mandatory for the release of scholarship funds.
Family Status: No family member should be a government employee or pensioner (sanitary workers are exempted).
Property/Asset Limits:
Land holdings must be below 10 acres (wet) or 25 acres (dry).
No family member should be an income tax payee.
The family should not own a four-wheeler (tractors, autos, and taxis are exempted).
The application process is typically initiated at the time of admission:
Application: You must fill out the Jnanabhumi Scholarship Application Form (J-SAF), usually provided by the college office during the admission process.
Verification: The College Principal verifies your details and submits them online via the Jnanabhumi portal.
Authentication: After initial submission, you may be required to visit a Mee Seva Centre with your Application ID and Aadhaar number to complete the process via biometric authentication.
Renewal: For existing students, the scholarship must be renewed each academic year by providing your previous year’s examination hall ticket number and current admission details to the college office.
