Eligibility criteria

Bachelor in Physiotherapy

A candidate for admission to BPT course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained not less than 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together in qualifying examination is not less than 40% instead of 45% as above. 

Master of Physiotherapy 

Candidates who have passed B.Sc. (PT) of BPT degree with minimum 3½ years duration from RGUHS or any other university in India or abroad as equivalent with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and have completed 6 months of compulsory rotating internship in a recognized Physiotherapy College are eligible. 

MBA/M.Com/MCA

Aggregate of 50% in bachelor's degree in respective discipline (10+2+3) from a recognised university and students appearing in their final semester are also eligible to apply.

B.Sc MLT

Candidates shall have studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course.

• Two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.

OR

• Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.

OR

• Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.

OR

• The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course.

OR

• Candidates with two years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll, in Bsc MLT course shall have passed plus 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as subjects or candidates with 3 years diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject for which the candidate desires to enroll, in the Bsc MLT course should have studied Physics, Biology and Chemistry as subjects during the tenure of the course.
• Lateral entry to second year for allied health science courses for candidates who have passed diploma program from the Government Boards and recognized by RGUHS, 

M.Sc MLT

A pass in B.Sc MLT/BMLT course from institutions affiliated to RGUHS, or from other Universities considered equivalent by RGUHS.

A candidate who has completed B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to join for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology respectively.

Diploma in General Nursing

10+2 is required.

BHA

Candidates should have passed two year Pre University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with any principle subjects of study.
OR

ii) Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards / Councils / Intermediate examination established by State Government / Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two year Pre University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, with any principle subjects of study

Marks
In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to BHA course must have secured 45% marks.

Age
A candidate seeking admission to Bachelor of Hospital Administration course should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission.

MHA

Bachelor’s degree in any one of the following from an institution recognized by the respective council where applicable, and is affiliated to RGUHS –viz., MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post basic) B.Pharm, B.Sc.in Allied Health Sciences, BAMS / BHMS / BUMS, or from any other university established under law considered equivalent thereto by RGUHS. The candidate shall have obtained permanent registration in the respective state council where applicable.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or Management of a University established under law and recognized by the University Grants Commission and shall have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks in all the years of university examination of a degree course. In the case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

BPH

Candidates should have completed higher secondary level or pre-university college (10 +2) in any stream

(note: candidates from other than science stream will undergo a bridge course of 2 months in college, where there will be no exams for this)

OR 

Candidates completing a 3 year Diploma in Allied Health Sciences after 10th

OR 

Candidates completing 2 years Diploma in Allied Health Sciences after pre-university college (10+2)

OR 

Equivalent course established under law Considered equivalent thereto by RGUHS.

The minimum 40% marks obtained. In case of SC/ST candidates a pass in 10+2 or equivalent.

Lateral entry:?Candidates who have completed 3 years Diploma in any health sciences, or diploma in public health/community medicine can join 3^rd  semester directly provided they have undergone training in minimum of three topics mentioned in?semester 1 and 2 of BPH curriculum of RGUHS?or any equivalent topics related to public health.

Candidates who have completed 3 years Diploma after 12^th /10 + 2/PUC are eligible to 2nd year directly. 

MPH

Candidates should have a degree in MBBS or BDS or BAMS or BHMS or BUMS or BNYS or B.Sc Nursing or BPT or B.Pharm or B.Sc in Allied Health Sciences with minimum 50% marks from a university established under law considered equivalent thereto by RGUHS.

M.Sc in clinical research

A recognized bachelor’s degree in any Health Science subject with minimum of 50% marks or Life Sciences graduates with Chemistry /Biochemistry/  Organic Chemistry as one of the main subject during their graduation.
