PES University, Bangalore – Application/Admission Process

1. Application Process

Online Registration: Candidates must register online on the PES University official website. The application form requires personal and educational details, and candidates need to create a user account to obtain a login ID.

Application Fee: An application fee of INR 1,200 must be paid during registration. This can be done through online payment methods (credit card, debit card, or net banking) or offline via a bank challan or demand draft.

Documents Required: Applicants need to prepare the following documents for submission:

• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam scorecards (if applicable) and other relevant documents.

2. Entrance Examination

PESSAT: For most courses, candidates must take the PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT). However, admissions for B. Tech are now primarily through scores from JEE Main or KCET, as PESSAT has been scrapped for these programs.

Slot Booking: After submitting the application form, candidates must book a slot for the entrance exam (if applicable) and download their admit card.

3. Selection Rounds

• Merit-Based Selection: Admission is based on the merit obtained in the entrance exams. For B. Tech, candidates will be considered based on their JEE Main or KCET scores. Other courses may have different entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, GATE, etc.
• Counselling Process: Following the entrance exam results, selected candidates will be called for counselling and document verification. Candidates must pay a non-refundable administrative fee of INR 10,000 to secure their seat.

4. Additional Information

Eligibility Criteria:

• For undergraduate courses like B. Tech, candidates should have at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in their 10+2 examinations.
• For postgraduate courses, eligibility varies depending on the specific program and may require relevant entrance exam scores.

Management Quota: There is also an option for admission through management quota for certain programs; interested candidates should contact the admissions office directly for details.
