Prathyusha Institute of Technology & Management Application/Admission Process

Admission to Prathyusha Engineering College (PEC) for the 2026 academic year is primarily conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process for B.E./B.Tech programs. Below is the breakdown of the admission process for various levels.

1. Undergraduate (B.E. / B.Tech) Admissions

Admission to undergraduate engineering programs is governed by the state’s centralized counselling system.

  • Primary Mode: TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). The process is merit-based, relying on your marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in your Class 12 board examinations.

  • Eligibility:

    • Completion of 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

    • Minimum aggregate marks of 45% (for General category) and 40% (for Reserved categories).

  • Application Steps:

    1. Register on the TNEA Portal: Visit tneaonline.org.

    2. Fill Application: Provide personal, academic, and contact details.

    3. Pay Fee: General candidates pay INR 500; SC/SCA/ST candidates pay INR 250.

    4. Verification: Complete document verification as per the TNEA schedule.

    5. Counselling: Participate in the choice-filling and locking process based on your rank.

  • Note: The TNEA 2026 registration deadline has been extended to June 5, 2026.

2. Postgraduate (M.E. / M.Tech / MBA) Admissions

For PG courses, admission is generally based on entrance exam scores.

  • Entrance Exams:

    • M.Tech: Admissions typically require a valid score in CEETA-PG (Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission) or GATE.

    • MBA: Admissions are conducted through the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test).

  • Process: Candidates must apply via the respective exam portals (e.g., TANCET portal for MBA/M.Tech) and subsequently participate in centralized counselling (like TANCA for PG).

3. Management Quota

In addition to the government-regulated TNEA/Counselling seats, colleges often have a Management Quota.
