The R. N. G. Patel Institute of Technology (RNGPIT) follows a centralized admission process managed primarily by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, for the majority of its seats. A portion of the seats is reserved for Management Quota, which is handled directly by the institute.

Admission Pathways

1. State Quota (75% of Seats)

These seats are filled through the ACPC Gujarat counseling process.

  • Registration: Candidates must register on the official ACPC portal after the announcement of HSC (12th Grade) and/or entrance exam results.

  • Merit-Based: Admissions are strictly based on the merit rank prepared by the committee, which considers scores from qualifying exams like GUJCET or JEE.

  • Counseling: Students participate in the centralized choice-filling and seat allocation rounds conducted by ACPC.

2. Management Quota (25% of Seats)

These seats are managed directly by the institute.

  • Application: Interested candidates should contact the institute’s admission office directly or visit the campus to inquire about vacancy status and application timelines.

  • Selection: Admission is generally based on academic merit and eligibility criteria set by the institute in accordance with state guidelines.

3. Special Admission Tracks

  • Direct-to-Second-Year (D2D): For diploma holders seeking lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech programs. Admission is handled through the ACPC process.

  • Working Professionals: For specific PG programs (like MBA for working professionals), the admission process may involve a review of your resume, work experience documentation, and an interview, rather than standard entrance exams.

  • GCAS Admissions: Certain postgraduate and professional courses may be coordinated through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Tech Programs: Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

    • Minimum aggregate marks of 45% (40% for reserved categories).

  • PG/Professional Programs:  Requires a relevant Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years).
