Established in 1970 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Rajeswari Vedachalam Government Arts College is a premier co-educational institution located in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. Situated on an 8.29-acre campus on GST Road, adjacent to the Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital, the college was founded with a philanthropic donation from Sri Rajeswari Vedachalam Mudaliar. Recognized under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act since 1972, the college is affiliated with the University of Madras and re-accredited with a 'B' grade by NAAC. Our mission is to provide quality higher education to students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering them to become employable and contributing citizens. With a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs, we strive to foster academic excellence and holistic development.
