Rishi Institute of Engg. & Technology Application/Admission Process

Admissions to Rishi Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET) are conducted in strict compliance with the norms set by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and the Board of Technical Education (BTEUP), Uttar Pradesh.

General Eligibility Requirements

  • B.Tech Programs: Passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, alongside one of Chemistry/Computer Science/Technical Vocational subjects, securing a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).

  • B.Tech Lateral Entry: Passed a 3-year engineering diploma or B.Sc. degree with minimum 45% marks.

  • MBA / PGDM Programs: Recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).

  • Polytechnic Diploma: Passed the 10th standard examination with at least 35% marks.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Appear for Entrance Exams: Register and appear for the relevant qualifying entrance examination (JEE Main for B.Tech, CUET-PG for MBA, or JEECUP for Polytechnic).

  2. Participate in Counseling: Register for centralized state counseling (UPTAC for engineering/management or JEECUP counseling for diplomas) and select RIET Meerut as your preferred choice.

  3. Direct / Management Quota Registration: For seats under direct institutional admissions, candidates can register by visiting the campus or filling out inquiry forms on the official institutional portal.

  4. Document Verification & Fee Payment: Once a seat is allotted or offered, report to the campus with original documents for verification, pay the requisite admission/tuition fees, and confirm enrollment.

  • Entrance Exam Scorecard/Rank Card (JEE Main / CUET-PG / JEECUP)

  • Qualifying mark sheets and passing certificates (10th, 12th, or Graduation as applicable)

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Character Certificate
