Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Chalakudy, is the realization of a long-cherished dream of the people of Chalakudy and its surrounding areas. Established in 1980 by the Alvernia Province of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation, the college came into being through the collective will of its community, divine blessings, and dedicated efforts of the Clarist Sisters. Affiliated with the University of Calicut and supported by the Government of Kerala, the college is located on a beautiful 26-acre campus within Chalakudy’s municipal limits, providing an inspiring setting for students' all-around development. Elevated to the status of a first-grade college by the Government of Kerala in 1991, the institution currently offers 11 undergraduate programs including BBA and BCA programs approved by AICTE, 8 postgraduate, an integrated MSc Psychology program and a research department in Mathematics. Having completed 45 years of distinguished service in education, Sacred Heart College attained autonomous status in May 2024.
