Sadabai Raisoni Womens College Scholarships & Eligibility

Sadabai Raisoni Women's College (SRWC), Nagpur, offers various scholarship and fee concession schemes to support meritorious and deserving students. These scholarships are primarily administered under the policies of the Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI).

Types of Scholarships & Concessions

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

These scholarships are provided based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.

  • Undergraduate Programmes: Students can receive tuition fee concessions ranging from 5% to 15% depending on their aggregate score in the qualifying exam (typically for scores above 85%–95%).

  • Postgraduate Programmes (MBA, MCA, M.Sc., etc.): Scholarships are offered based on the qualifying score, typically ranging from 10% to 15% for scores of 70% and above.

2. Sports & Disability Scholarships

  • Sports Scholarship: Fee concessions are provided for students who have participated in sports at various levels:

    • State Level: 10%

    • National Level: 15%

    • International Level: 20%

      (Note: The sports certificate must generally not be older than two years from the date of admission.)

  • Physically Challenged Scholarship: The amount of the scholarship is determined by a committee based on the degree and level of the physical disability. A valid disability certificate from a competent authority is required.

3. Concessions for Employees and Siblings

  • Ward of Raisoni Employee: Significant tuition fee concessions are available for the children or spouses of employees who have served the Raisoni Group for a continuous period.

  • Sibling Concession: A fee concession is available for siblings of current students studying in RGI institutions.

4. Government Scholarships

In addition to institutional scholarships, the college facilitates government-sponsored scholarship and freeship schemes for eligible students, including:

  • Post-Matric Scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, and EBC students.

  • Minority Scholarships for students from minority communities.

  • Other state and central government schemes as per prevailing norms.
