Sowdamman Charitable Trust was found in the year 2006 by Dr. K. Vembanan, M.B.B.S.,M.S., Dr.K.Gokila Vembanan, M.B.B.S., D.G.O with the guidance of Padmapushan Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam. The society imparts professional education in nursing (B.Sc., (N), Post Basic B.Sc., (N), Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery & M.Sc., (N). The foremost priority of the trust is to impart subsidized quality education and to provide the rural poor with free essential health requirements.Our mission and vision is to be a student centered, learning community dedicated to developing professional and academic leaders in nursing, and to serve our constituents through education programmes that engage students, provide high quality nursing services, demonstrate evidence-based nursing practice and produce nursing scholarship.The college of nursing as an integral part of the Sakthi Group of Institutions, Oddanchatram is committed to serving as the principle academic centre for graduate and post graduate nursing education for a multistate region.

    B.Sc Nursing Science Rs. 1,80,000.00 must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) subjects from a recognized board, be at least 17 years old, and be medically fit.
    M.Sc Nursing Science Rs. 1,20,000.00 ursing degree from a university or institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
    GNM Science Rs. 1,80,000.00 must have completed 10+2 in the science stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and have a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission
