SCESs Indira College of Commerce and Science Scholarships & Eligibility

Indira College of Commerce and Science (ICCS), as part of the Indira University framework, offers several scholarship programs aimed at supporting meritorious students and those from economically challenging backgrounds.

Types of Scholarships

  • Merit-Based Scholarships (Category 1 & 2):
    • Category 1: Provides a 50% fee waiver on total tuition fees per year for the entire duration of the program (up to 1% of the total student intake).
    • Category 2: Provides a 25% fee waiver on total tuition fees per year for the entire duration of the program (up to 2% of the total student intake).
    • Criteria: Merit is calculated based on a weightage of 50% from qualifying exam marks (HSC for UG or Graduation for PG) and 50% from the entrance exam. To continue these scholarships in subsequent years, students must maintain a CGPA of 8 or higher.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Scholarship:
    • Offers a 50% tuition fee exemption to 10% of the student intake, regardless of caste. Students must submit valid income certificates or Income Tax Returns (ITR) at the time of admission.
  • Sports Scholarships:
    • Awarded based on participation and achievements at the zonal, national, or international levels. Waivers range from 20% to 100% depending on the level of competition and the medal achieved (Gold, Silver, or Bronze).
  • Dr. Tarita Shankar Girls Scholarship:
    • A partial tuition fee waiver for female students from Maharashtra whose family annual income is below Rs.8 Lakhs. This is merit-based and limited to 2.5% of the girl student intake.
  • Other Institutional & Government Scholarships:
    • Scholarship for Disabled Persons: 100% tuition fee waiver for one student per program (requires a disability certificate of 40% or more).
    • Wards of Martyrs: Special support for the children of defense personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice (requires CGPA ≥8 for renewal).
    • Government-Linked Scholarships: Students belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, NT) can avail themselves of government-funded scholarships under the Samaj Kalyan (Social Welfare) department.
    • NSP Scholarships: The college also facilitates various central and state government scholarships (e.g., National Scholarship Portal)
