SDM College of Engineering & Technology (SDMCET), Dharwad – Application/Admission Process

Undergraduate Admissions (B. Tech):

Eligibility Criteria: Completion of 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general category students.

Application Process:

  • Obtain the application form from the college counter.
  • Fill out the form in block letters.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 450 via bank challan or online.
  • Submit the completed application form along with required academic documents and a bank receipt. Three sets of copies are required.

Counseling and Seat Confirmation:

  • Candidates must participate in offline counseling sessions based on their entrance exam scores.
  • After seat allocation, candidates need to report to SDMCET for document verification and fee payment to confirm their admission.

Postgraduate Admissions (M. Tech/MBA)

Entrance Exams:

  • Admission to M. Tech programs is based on Karnataka PGCET scores.
  • For MBA programs, candidates also need to qualify for Karnataka PGCET.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Tech: Graduation in a relevant field with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • MBA: Similar eligibility as M. Tech with valid scores from the Karnataka PGCET.

Application Process: The process is similar to that for undergraduate admissions, requiring submission of relevant documents and payment of fees.

Ph.D. Admissions

Eligibility Criteria: M. Phil or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks from an approved university.

Application Process: Interested candidates must apply directly to SDMCET and submit required documents during the interview process.

  • Degree certificate (for PG courses)
  • Migration certificate
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Entrance examination scorecard
  • Eligibility certificate (if applicable)
  • Admission allotment order (for counseling)

  • Transfer certificate
  • Cast/Income certificate (for reserved categories)
  • Aadhar card copy
  • PAN card copy of parents
  • Document verification slip from KEA
  • KEA fee challan copy
