Shaheed Bhagat Singh Post-Graduate Institute of Managenet was established in 1983 to facilitate a multi-dimensional growth of professional education in the country. the institute was founded by all india Shaheed Bhagat singh Memorial Trust, a trust registred under Societies registration Act. 1860, to commemorate the name of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh, the greatest son of our motherland by his younger brother S. Kulbir singh, Who was himself a great social reformer and benevolent worker and freedom fighter of india.He had a burning desire to set up a management institute to meet the burgeoning demand for management education for working executive and other promising youths of the country. The institution is commited to achive excellence in the field of management and has achieved commanding results in past years.The Founder-President of the Institute S. Kulbir Singh departed for his heavenly adobe on 22nd August, 1983. Afterwords, his eldest son shri Babar Singh took charge of the institute has raised the institute to new heights with his vision and rational thinking. the Ex-Preident of India Late Shri Giani Zail Singh blessed the Institution by agreeing to become its "Partron in Chief".Late Babar Singh Sandhu, the nephew of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh was a wellknown social worker and educationist of this region and by his personal endeavour and farsight he developed this college at NIT-faridabad. He had also a dream to upgrade the college as one of the important research centre in management studies and also to meet the growing needs of professionally qualified manpower for the rapid industralisation of this area in particular and the country is general.
