Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics Application/Admission Process

Mithibai College of Arts, Science, and Commerce follows a structured online application process for its degree programs. Because it is an empowered autonomous college affiliated with the University of Mumbai, the process requires students to complete both a university-level pre-enrollment form and a specific college-level admission form.

Admission Process (Academic Year 2026-27)

The application process is entirely online. For the 2026-27 session, the college implemented the following steps:

  1. University Pre-enrollment: Candidates must first complete the University of Mumbai’s online pre-enrollment form via the University Admission Portal. Under the "Autonomous" category, you must select "Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science and A. J. College of Commerce and Economics."

  2. College Registration: Simultaneously, applicants must register on the Mithibai College Admission Portal (accessible via the college website).

    • You can create a single user ID to apply for multiple SVKM colleges (Mithibai, NM College, or UPG College) if desired.

  3. Payment & Submission: A mandatory admission processing fee of Rs.500 must be paid online. Forms without this payment are not considered for the merit list.

  4. Merit List Generation: Admission is merit-based. The college publishes a series of merit lists on its website. If your name appears on a list, you must complete online document verification and fee payment within the stipulated timeframe.

  5. Document Verification: Selected candidates are typically required to verify documents—either online (for outstation students) or physically—before the final payment link is activated.

Important Eligibility & Requirements

  • Academic Criteria: For most undergraduate programs, a pass in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination is required. Many self-financed courses (like B.M.S., B.A.F., etc.) require a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

  • Documentation: You will need your Class X and XII mark sheets, School/College Leaving Certificate, Aadhar Card, and an ABC/APAAR ID (Academic Bank of Credits), which is mandatory.

  • Minority/Quota: Students seeking admission under the Gujarati Linguistic Minority quota must provide specific documentation, such as an affidavit on a ?100 non-judicial stamp paper and proof of community membership.

  • International Boards: Students from international boards must obtain a Prima Facie letter or Certificate of Eligibility from the University of Mumbai.
