SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Empowered Autonomous) in Sion, Mumbai, provides financial assistance to students through various institutional scholarships, government-sponsored schemes, and endowment prizes.

Institutional Scholarships (College-Funded)

The college offers several scholarships aimed at supporting meritorious students from low-income families. These are primarily funded by the SIES Education Assistance Trust (SEAT) and other private donors.

  • SEAT (SIES Education Assistance Trust) Scholarship:

    • Eligibility: Family income of Rs. 3,00,000 or less per annum and a score of 50% or above in the previous year’s examination.

    • Scope: Awarded to students as per the norms set by the SIES management.

  • Bhojraj Scholarship:

    • Eligibility: Family income of Rs.3,00,000 or less per annum and a score of 65% or above in the previous year’s examination.

    • Scope: Specifically for First Year students.

  • Geeta Israni Scholarship:

    • Eligibility: Family income of Rs. 3,00,000 or less per annum and a score of 65% or above in the previous year’s examination.

    • Constraint: Students already receiving the SEAT or Bhojraj scholarships are not eligible for this award.

Government & Non-Government Scholarships

The college facilitates the application process for various state and central government schemes, often processed through portals like MahaDBT. Common schemes available include:

  • Post-Matric Scholarships: For students belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/VJNT).

  • Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme: A major state government scheme providing tuition fee concessions.

  • Central Sector/Post-Matric Tuition & Examination Fee (Freeship): Financial aid for tuition and exam fees for eligible candidates.

  • Ex-Servicemen Concessions: Educational concessions provided to the children of ex-servicemen.
