Just as the legendary Sri Adichunchanagiri Math is famous for its food offerings, the foundation of knowledge offerings was laid by the establishment of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Education Trust on 13-12-1973. Now, under the auspices of the Trust, more than 500 schools and colleges are imparting education to lakhs of children across the country, from pre-primary level to medical-technical education. Among such famous educational institutions, Sri Adichunchanagiri Arts and Commerce College is the first to be established.

      This college, which was started in 1975 with a well-equipped building in Sri Adichunchanagiri area, has been serving the society in various dimensions and has contributed many talents to the nation. The number of students of this college, which started with B.A., B.Com., and degree classes, has reached 108 to 1083. In addition, B.Sc., classes were started in 2006-2007 and B.B.M. classes in 2011-12. Postgraduate classes (M.Com.,) were started in the Commerce department in the year 2014-15.
