Sri Siddhartha Dental College (SSDC), Tumkur – Application/Admission Process

Sri Siddhartha Dental College offers undergraduate and postgraduate dental courses. The college follows a merit-based admission process for both BDS and MDS programs.

Admission Process:

  1. BDS Admission

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year.

Application Procedure:

  • Qualify for the NEET UG entrance exam conducted by NTA.
  • Participate in Karnataka NEET UG Counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Seat Allocation: Seats are allocated based on NEET UG scores through counselling.

  1. MDS Admission

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution.
  • Completion of a one-year internship is mandatory.

Application Procedure:

  • Qualify for the NEET MDS entrance exam conducted by NBEMS.
  • Participate in Karnataka NEET MDS Counselling conducted by KEA.

Seat Allocation: Seats are allocated based on NEET MDS scores through counselling.

Online Application: The college follows an online application procedure for both BDS and MDS admissions, as per guidelines set by the Director General of Health Services, Government of India. Candidates selected through common counselling need to report to the Dean's office to complete their admission formalities.

Documents Required: For both BDS and MDS admissions, candidates need documents such as their qualifying examination certificates (e.g., 10+2 mark sheet for BDS), internship completion certificate (for MDS), valid government ID proofs, caste certificates if applicable, etc.
