Adi-Dravidar Welfare Scholarship- The Adi-Dravidar and Welfare Department awards scholarships to students from Tamil Nadu's scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other converted eligible communities whose financial situation is deemed to be such that they cannot continue their education without financial aid.
Backward Class /Most – Backward Class Scholarships- The Backward Class Welfare Department awards scholarships (both full and half-fee) to students from eligible communities of Tamil Nadu's Backward and Most-Backward classes whose financial situation is deemed to be such that they cannot continue their education without the support of scholarships.
State Scholarships for the Children of School Teachers- The primary goal of the scholarship program, which the Tamil Nadu government has put in place, is to give these children the financial aid they need to pursue higher education.
