Swami Vivekananda University (SVU) Kolkata is recognized by UGC (the University Grants Commission) and the Government of Bengal has also given its recognition. It has been accredited by NAAC (the National Assessment and Accreditation Council), and AICTE (the All India Council for Technical Education). Swami Vivekananda University (SVU) has also received permission by the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal.
