In 1993 the U.C.A. has started a 3 years and 6 months Diploma Course in Physiotherapy which was upgraded into a B.P.T Degree Course in the year 1998 which is for a 4 years academic and 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship training. This B.P.T. Degree course is recognized by the Govt. of Tamilnadu and the college is affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai – 32.The degree Course is conducted in accordance with the regulations and syllabus formulated by The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai – 32. The subjects taught include Social Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Physiotherapy subjects and Rehabilitation Sciences. an Intercollegiate Continuing Medical Education Program is held at our College in the month of April every Year. Students from various Physiotherapy Colleges in and around Tamilnadu are invited to Participate in this Program. Scientific Paper Presentation and Poster Presentation Competition are conducted among the Students.Our Students are also encouraged to Participate in the C.M.E Programs, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation and Quiz Competition Programs held in other Colleges and Universities. Our students are also sent to various Hospitals in Chennai for Clinical Exposure.
