Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology Application/Admission Process

Admission to the Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology (TKIET), Warananagar, is primarily conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) managed by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell.

Admission Process Overview

For most seats (CAP seats), you must register on the official State CET Cell website.

  1. Registration: Candidates must register online for the CAP rounds during the notified dates.
  2. Document Verification: After registration, you must visit a designated Facilitation Center (FC) with original documents to verify your application.
  3. Seat Allotment: Based on your entrance exam scores (MHT-CET or JEE Main) and merit, seats are allotted in various CAP rounds.
  4. Reporting: Once allotted, you must report to the institute to confirm your admission by submitting the required documents and paying the fees.

Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Tech (First Year):
    • Passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational/Computer Science/IT/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies.
    • Minimum 45% aggregate (40% for Reserved categories, EWS, and PWD).
    • Must have a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2026 or a non-zero positive score in JEE Main (Paper-I) 2026.
  • B.Tech (Lateral Entry):
    • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% (40% for Reserved categories/EWS/PWD).
    • OR passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC-recognized university with at least 45% (40% for Reserved/EWS/PWD).
  • M.Tech:
    • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology.
    • Valid score in GATE is preferred.

Required Documents (Originals + 2 Self-Attested Sets)

  • Receipt-cum-Acknowledgment of Seat Acceptance (from CAP/ARC).
  • MHT-CET or JEE Main scorecard.
  • SSC and HSC mark sheets.
  • 12th School/College Leaving Certificate.
  • Domicile and Nationality Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card (Photocopy).
  • Category-specific documents: Caste Certificate, Caste Validity, and valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/VJ/DT/NT/SBC/SEBC).
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable).
