Teerthankar Mahaveer Medical College & Research Centre under Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), offers various scholarships to support meritorious and needy students across its programs, including medical courses. Following is the list of some of the scholarships that are offered to the students at TMMC&RC.

  • Academic Scholarships:Awarded based on marks in qualifying exams, with scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of the first-year tuition fee for UG and PG programs (excluding some medical and allied programs). For example, students scoring 90% and above can get up to 50% scholarship on tuition fees.
  • Scholarship for Jain Students:Jain community students receive a 50% exemption in tuition and hostel fees for the entire duration of their program, except for MBBS, MD, MS, BDS, and similar medical courses.
  • Rank Holders in Competitive Exams:For B. Tech and MBA/MCA, scholarships are given based on ranks and percentile scores in exams like JEE (Main), CAT, MAT, and CMAT, with up to 90-100% scholarships for top rankers. However, these are typically for engineering and management programs, not medical courses.
  • Chancellor’s Scholarship:Available for staff wards of TMU, offering 20% tuition fee waiver per year for all UG and PG courses except collaborative, dental, and medical programs.
  • Sports Scholarships:Meritorious sports aspirants at district, state, or national levels can get up to 100% scholarship, applicable for the entire program duration.
  • Sibling Discount:10% tuition fee discount for siblings studying at TMU, applicable only on the first-year tuition fee and excluding medical programs.
  • Special Scholarships:For differently-abled students and polytechnic students transitioning to B. Tech, with specific concessions.

Some Important Factors:

  • Multiple scholarships can be availed but with a maximum of three additional scholarships on top of the academic scholarship.
  • Scholarships for medical courses like MBBS, MD, MS, BDS are limited and generally exclude some of the above categories, especially Jain and Chancellor’s scholarships.
