Universal College of Engineering & Technology Application/Admission Process

Admission to the Universal College of Engineering & Technology (UCET), Guntur, for the 2026 academic year is primarily conducted through state-level entrance examinations and the centralized web-counseling process managed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

Admission Process for B.Tech (Undergraduate)

Admissions for B.Tech programs follow a two-pronged approach:

Entrance Exam (AP EAPCET):

Candidates must appear for the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET).
The exam is typically held in May, and results are released in June.

Web Counseling:

After the results are announced, qualified candidates must register on the official APSCHE counseling portal.
Process: Registration Processing Fee Payment Document Verification Web Option Entry (selecting colleges like UCET) Seat Allotment.
Seat allotment is based on your rank, category, and the preferences you fill during the web-option phase.

Category B (Management Quota) Seats:

Approximately 30% of seats are often reserved under the management quota. These are filled by the college directly, following guidelines set by the government/APSCHE. You should contact the college administration office directly for details on these specific seats.

Admissions for Other Programs

M.Tech: Admission is based on scores in AP PGECET or GATE.
MBA: Admission is based on a valid rank in the AP ICET.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech: Completion of 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories).
M.Tech: A relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
MBA: A bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
