University College of Engineering (UCEK), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – Scholarships

The University College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram offers various scholarships to its students. Following is the list of some of the scholarships that are available for the students.

• Merit cum Means Scholarship (MCM): This scholarship is provided by the Government of India through the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is awarded to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need
• Central Sector Scholarship: This scholarship is offered by the Central Government and is open to students pursuing higher education in any field. Students must meet certain eligibility criteria to qualify for this scholarship.
• Fishers Scholarship: This scholarship is specifically designed for fishermen and their children. It covers tuition fees and other expenses related to higher education
• Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for CRPF and Assam Rifles: This scholarship is aimed at providing financial assistance to students whose parents serve in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) or the Assam Rifles
• AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver: Selected by Common Entrance Examination (CEE), this scholarship waives off tuition fees for selected candidates

In addition to these national scholarships, UCEK also offers scholarships specific to the state of Kerala, such as the E-Grantz scheme, which provides financial aid to students based on their family income and social status.

This institute also offers scholarships for students belonging to SC/ST/OEC and SEBC categories, as per the norms set by the Government of Kerala.
