V.V Vanniaperumal College For Women – Scholarship

V.V. Vanniaperumal College for Women in Virudhunagar offers a variety of scholarship schemes to support students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged or academically meritorious. Scholarships are available under government, non-governmental, institutional, and individual schemes.

Government Scholarship Schemes-

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students-  The recipient's savings bank account receives the scholarship funds directly through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) gateway. Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern or have an equivalent qualification, with a percentile rank greater than the 80 percentile of their peers in the relevant stream. The annual gross family income of students should not be more than Rs. 4.5 lakh. New applicants must provide proof of income in the form of an income certificate. Regular college and university students are given up to Rs. 12,000 annually for the first three years of their studies. No matter how long their education lasts, postgraduate students might get up to Rs. 20,000 annually.

Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child- UGC established the Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child in an effort to support and advance girls' education. The scholarship is intended to cover the direct costs of girls' education at all levels, particularly for those girls who are the only girl in their family.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme- This program's primary goal is to increase minority communication's employment rate by giving poorer segments access to higher education. Students who have earned at least 50% or its equivalent in the previous exam and whose family's yearly income does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 are eligible to enroll for graduation, post-graduation, M.Phil., or Ph.D. programs.

Children of Ceylon and Burma Repatriates- Students who are the progeny of Ceylonese and Burmese repatriates are eligible for financial aid and concessions upon presenting the required documentation.

Adi Dravida Welfare Department- The Government of India and State Government programs offer Adi Dravida Welfare Scholarships. The aforementioned scholarship is available to SC/ST students whose parents earn less than Rs. 2,000,000 per year. SC/ST students are eligible for free education, which includes reimbursement of special fees, examination fees, etc., if their parents earn more than Rs. 2,00,000 a year.

Students' Aid Fund-    Monetary help is given to students from Students' Aid Fund. Students who are not getting any other scholarship alone are eligible for this aid. Selection will be on the basis of merit, parent’s annual income and in accordance with the rules of committee.

Ph.D Scholarship- The award will be available to students who are in their first, second, or third year of a PhD program. Students must be enrolled in arts or scientific courses in a government or government-aided college. Students must complete their Ph.D. program with at least 60% of the possible points. A monthly allowance of Rs. 3,000 is given to students.

Scholarship for Differently Abled Students from Class 9th Onwards- Scholarships are available to students with physical disabilities who are enrolled in any program from ninth grade onward, including professional, medical, engineering, and vocational courses. Applicants must have received at least 40% on their prior qualifying exam. Students receive an annual stipend of Rs. 6000.

EVR Nagammai Scholarship- The scholarship is available to girl students in Tamil Nadu who are enrolled in post-graduate science and arts programs at government colleges. The monthly stipend awarded to students is Rs. 4,000.

Non- Government Scholarship Schemes-

Unja D. Parimala Devi-V.Dhanasamy Women’s Higher Education Trust scholarship-  Meritorious Students of Self financing Programme 

Virudhunagar Hindu Nadars Abiviruthi Palasarakku Kadai Mahamai scholarship- This scholarship is applicable for,

  • Students of backward class Nadar Community.
  • Parentless/Fatherless/Motherless students.
  • Economically backward and Physically Challenged Meritorious Students.
  1. V. R Memorial Foundation scholarship- Eligibility criteria for this scholarship are-
  • Students from both Aided and Self-financing programmes whose father is expired / abandoned by the father.
  • Physically challenged students of both Aided and Self can also apply.
  • Students with poor economic status can also apply.

Sultan Chand Dropadi Devi Fund- This program was established by Sultan Chand Publishing House with the intention of providing financial assistance to students of exceptional caliber. Students from every branch of commerce are welcome to apply. The top Commerce student in terms of academic achievement will get the fund.
