To be established as a centre for quality education in par with global standards in Nursing To inculcate the values of caring with compassion and to understanding the human behavior. To widen the intellectual and compassionate horizons for the integrated personality development.Recognize the varied human responses in relation to the dimension of health. Provide compassionate care to an individual who is sick or well. Apply the knowledge of Nursing and other relevant disciplines in providing care to the clients. Involve as an active member in the health care delivery system by integrating with the individuals, groups and members of the health care team. Assume and Excel as a nursing care provider, nurse educator, nurse administrator and nurse researcher. Inculcate the professional ethics and conduct in everyday practice.

The farsighted visionaries of Kongu Agricultural region nurture a dream of educating and empowering the first generation women scholars of the soil especially the ones from rural and under privileged sections of the society to become effective leaders and contributors to every sector of the society and this vision lead to the inception of the institution in the year 1970. The Vellalar Educational Trust was formed with a devoted team of 27 members and Thiru. V.M. Kailasa Gounder as the President, Thiru.S.C. Sengottuvelappan as the Secretary & Correspondent and Thiru.P.K.Palanisamy Gounder as the Treasurer.

It is really a matter of pride and gratification that the Vellalar Educational Trust celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2019 in a grand manner adding splendor to the rich repertoire of Vellalar archives. As envisioned by the founders, the Vellalar Educational Trust has made a quantum leap in the educational landscape rendering quality education to around 20,000 students. At present, it has under its expanding canopy eleven Educational institutions.To promote an instinct of scientific inquiry and academic excellence in order to transform novice into a professional nurse.

Thiru C.Jayakumar was a leading Senior Advocate in Erode and he was also one of the founder members of Vellalar Institutions.

Our Vellalar Educational Trust has made a quantum leap in the educational landscape, as it renders quality education in all levels. Considering the world needs most quality health care professions, the trust established Vellalar College of Nursing in the year 2008 with B.Sc (N) Degree course=At present, around 600 students who have completed B.Sc (N) Degree course in our institution, works happily all over India and abroad .My Best wishes to the Principal & the faculty of Vellalar College of Nursing to keep a best record in Nursing field at all levels.
