Vignan's Institute of Engineering For Women Scholarships & Eligibility

Vignan’s Institute of Engineering for Women (VIEW) in Visakhapatnam offers a variety of scholarships to support academic excellence and provide financial assistance to eligible students.

Types of Scholarships Available

  • Merit-Based Scholarships:

These are awarded to high-performing students based on their results in qualifying board examinations (typically 10+2) or entrance tests like AP EAPCET. Depending on the percentile or rank achieved, students may receive tuition fee waivers or financial grants.

  • Need-Based & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Support:

Financial aid is available for students from families with lower annual income levels. Documentation, such as a valid income certificate, is required to qualify for these concessions, which aim to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education.

  • Government-Sponsored Schemes:

Students can apply for various state and central government scholarship programs, including:

    • Post-Matric Scholarships: For SC/ST, BC, and minority students.
    • AICTE Pragati Scholarship: A specific scheme dedicated to supporting girl students in technical education.
    • National/Central Sector Scholarships: Available for meritorious students from various backgrounds.
  • Special Category Awards:

Additional support is often provided for students in specific categories, such as:

    • Sports & Cultural Excellence: For students representing the institute at national or international levels.
    • Single Girl Child: Dedicated grants or waivers for students who are the only child in their family.
    • Defense/Paramilitary Wards: Special consideration or concessions for children of personnel serving in the armed forces.
