Vignan's Institute Pharmaceutical Technology Application/Admission Process

Admission to Vignan’s Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology (VIPT), Visakhapatnam, is strictly merit-based and conducted through entrance examinations followed by the state-level counseling process. There is no provision for direct admission.

Admission Process 2026

The admission process is entirely online. Candidates must follow these steps:

Appear for the Required Entrance Exam:

B.Pharmacy & Pharm.D: Admission is based on the AP EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) score.
M.Pharmacy: Admission is based on scores in AP PGECET or GPAT.

State Counseling: After the entrance exam results are released, qualified candidates must participate in the official Andhra Pradesh state-level counseling process to secure a seat at VIPT.
Online Registration: Candidates must register on the official VIPT website under the "Admissions" section.
Application Submission:

Fill out the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
Upload required documents, including your 10th and 12th mark sheets, entrance exam scorecard, and photograph.
Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.

Document Verification: Once shortlisted, candidates must undergo a document verification process (usually as part of the state counseling procedure) before confirming their seat by paying the tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Pharmacy / Pharm.D: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
M.Pharmacy: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized university with the qualifying marks prescribed by the university/regulatory body.

Class 10th and 12th marks memos.
Entrance Exam Scorecard (AP EAPCET/AP PGECET).
Transfer Certificate (TC) and Character/Conduct Certificate.
Caste/Community certificate (if claiming reservation).
Passport-size photographs.
