Admission to Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology & Science (VLITS), Guntur, is primarily entrance-based. The institute follows a two-pathway admission structure: Convenor Quota (70% of seats) based on state-level entrance exams and Management Quota (30% of seats) for direct admissions.

Admission Pathways & Entrance Exams

B.Tech (Undergraduate):

Entrance Exam: Admission is conducted through the AP EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test).
Process: Candidates must qualify for the exam and participate in the centralized APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) counseling process. During web counseling, candidates select VLITS as their preferred college based on their rank and seat availability.

M.Tech (Postgraduate):

Entrance Exam: Qualified candidates from AP PGECET or GATE are given priority.

MBA & MCA (Postgraduate):

Entrance Exam: Admission is based on scores obtained in the AP ICET (Integrated Common Entrance Test).

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech: A pass in 10+2 (Intermediate) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. A minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories) is generally required.
Postgraduate (M.Tech/MBA/MCA): A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories). MCA candidates specifically must have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level.

Application Steps

Register for Entrance Exam: You must appear for the relevant AP state-level entrance test (EAPCET/ICET/PGECET).
Participate in Counseling: Once results are out, register on the official APSCHE counseling portal, complete certificate verification, and exercise your "web options" by choosing VLITS (College Code: VLIT).
Management Quota: For seats under the 30% management quota, you can apply directly to the institute’s admissions office. This process typically involves an application form, submission of academic transcripts, and sometimes a personal interview.
Seat Allotment & Reporting: After seat allotment, you must download the allotment letter, report to the college campus, and complete the document verification and fee payment process.
