Vimal Jyothi Engineering College (VJEC), located in Chemperi, Kannur district, Kerala, is a premier self-financing institution affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Admission Process

Admissions at VJEC are conducted based on government regulations and the policies set by the Kerala Catholic Engineering College Managements Association (KCECMA). The seat distribution is typically divided as follows:

  • Government Allotment: 50% of the total seats in each branch are filled through the centralized allotment process conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, based on KEAM ranks.
  • Management Quota: 35% of seats are allotted by the college management based on a merit rank list prepared by the institution (which considers a combination of KEAM scores and Plus-Two PCM marks).
  • NRI Quota: 15% of seats are reserved for the NRI category. Candidates in this category are exempt from the entrance exam score requirement but must meet the mandatory academic eligibility criteria.
