The inception of the college was initiated in 1965 by the then Collector Sri. B.N. Raman, I.A.S., Sri. M. Narayan Reddy, Former Member of Parliament and Sri. M. Ganga Reddy, Ex. MLC a renowned Advocate. These founder members realized their vision to make education accessible to women in and around Nizamabad district. They reiterated the need of women empowerment to promote educational, cultural, social and economic interests of this region. It was the first Women’s College under Osmania University in Telangana region. The college was established in the year 1965 under the aegis of Women’s Education Society, Nizamabad to promote higher education among women from rural areas.The college presents serene and ethnic beauty with landscape garden, rosary and creates an aesthetic academic ambience.Women’s college established by Women’s Education society caters to the educational needs of women in particular in the north Telangana at affordable cost. Women empowerment has been the objective of the society to make education accessible to women in the district .The curriculum of the college is in response to the ever changing educational needs of higher education. It empowers the students to compete with the contemporary challenges. The college was founded in the year 1965 under the aegis of Women’s Education Society. The faculty of the institution are highly motivated and qualified. The college is located in a picturesque natural environment on a sprawling campus of 9 acres and 24 guntas. The college has variety of conventional courses in Arts, Science and Commerce at under graduate and post graduate levels. The parent University of the college was Osmania University; later with the establishment of Telangana University at Dichpally it has been affiliated to Telangana University and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the section 2(f) and 12(b).The college has fully equipped laboratories for all Science departments, language lab, well ventilated class rooms and internet resource center. The college has rich background of cultural, sports and other academic activities. There is a library with good number of books and reading room facility. There are two seminar halls and vast play ground. The college has special recognition in sports, NCC, NSS and other cultural activities. A time tested administration and management safe guards the institutional interest and student progress as well.
