Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) organize a selection test keeping in order providing admission to hopefuls in five-year long BS-MS double degree program offered by them. On the premise of a hopeful's score in IISER entrance test (otherwise called IISER fitness test), he/she can secure confirmation at IISER situated in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, or Tirupati. Hopefuls who have cleared their Class XII in Science stream are qualified to apply for IISER placement test 2025. According to IISER selection test pattern there is a sum of 60 objectives that competitors need to finish in three hours span. IISER entrance exam 2025 dates are not out yet.

Candidates, those want to get admission to the IISER Institutions have to fill the IISER Online application via SCB (State & Central Boards) streams, KVPY Stream & JEE (Advanced) Stream.
Application Fee:
Candidates have to deposit Rs. 1500 (Rs. 750 in case of SC/ST category & Kashmiri Migrants) as an application fee. The fee is non-refundable. Candidates can pay the fee through online or offline mode.
IISER 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibity criteria of IISER 2025 may vary depending on under which channel admission is sought:
KYPY Channel: Under this category, candidates need to have a valid KYPY fellowship commencing 2025-26. In addition, candidates will have to meet the cutoff criteria that may be applicable.
JEE Channel: General Category candidates who have scored an All Inda Rank (AIR) within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) in JEE Advanced 2025 can apply. In case of reserved category candidates, they need to be ranked inside the top 10000 in their respective categories.
SCB Channel: Students seeking admission under this channel must meet the minimum cut off percentage prescribed by IISER for their respective state boards. Additionally, candidates will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test to be considered for admission.
Nationality
Indian nationals are eligible to apply for IISER admission. PIO and OCI category candidates can also apply, but like their Indian counterparts they must also meet apply through any of the three available channels and satisfy applicable eligibility criteria.
IISER 2025 Exam Pattern
Mode of Exam: KVPY Aptitude Test will be conducted through offline mode (pen-paper based).
Type of Questions: The questions will be multiple choice types.
Exam Duration: The duration of the exam will be 3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
No. of Questions: 15 questions will be asked from each subject.
Total Marks: The question paper will be of 180 marks.
Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be given to the candidates for each correct response.
Negative Marking: For incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
Subjects: The question paper will be comprised of PCMB subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics & Biology).

Chemistry:

IISER 2025 Admit Card
Candidates will be able to download their admit card for a SCB channel through online mode. The admit card will be issued from the 1st week of June 2025. No other mode will be entertained to get the IISER 2025 Admit card.

ISER Result 2025
The result of the aptitude test, for candidates applying through SCB channel, will be announced in online mode. To view the result, candidates need to simply go to the result page and select the SCB Seat Allotment option; no log-in is required. The result page will display the role numbers of candidates who have been offered seats. However, to download the offer letter, the candidate will have to log in to the application portal using their login credentials.
IISER Counselling 2025
The 50% seats of IISERs Institutions will be filled on the basis of JEE Advanced & KVPY scores. The remaining seats will be filled through SCB (State & Central Boards) which is based on IISER Aptitude Test 2025. The allotment of seat will be based on the merit list, availability of seats & candidate preferences. The conducting authority will not release any IISER cut-off list for admission. Top candidates who qualify the KVPY & JEE Advanced exam will get admission into IISERs.
