RMAT 2026

The RMAT 2026 (Rajasthan Management Admission Test) is no longer conducted as a separate state-level entrance examination. Historically, RMAT was organized by the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota for admission into MBA programs across Government, Aided, and Private Management Institutes affiliated with RTU. However, in line with evolving national admission policies, RMAT was discontinued, and MBA admissions in Rajasthan are now processed primarily through CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For candidates who do not appear for CMAT, some institutions may consider Class 12/Graduation scores or institute-level criteria, but there is no state-level RMAT exam anymore.

For the 2026 admission cycle, candidates aspiring to pursue an MBA in Rajasthan must primarily appear for CMAT 2026, expected to be conducted in April 2026, followed by the centralized counselling process organized by RTU or individual institutions, depending on the admission policy adopted for that year. The counselling process typically includes online registration, merit list preparation, document verification, choice filling, and seat allotment. Merit is calculated based on CMAT scores, and seats are allotted according to institution preference, category, and availability.

While RMAT is still mentioned informally by students, the official admission pathway today is CMAT-based, ensuring a standardized and nationally recognized selection process. Candidates should therefore focus their preparation on CMAT and track updates on the RTU or CMAT admission portals for accurate 2026 guidelines.
