Academic expo after 30 yrs in Andhra University

Visakhapatnam, Feb. 12: Inaugurating the academic and scientific expo in AU here on Saturday, the Andhra University vice-chancellor, Prof. Beela Satyanarayana, said that various departments were getting an opportunity to put on display the work they had done so far towards the advancement of a scientific society.

The VC said this would be a major boost to all those academicians presenting their notes on the discoveries and findings they have made to get greater recognition. Dr V Bhujanga Rao of NSTL noted that such expos would help develop a scientific temper among the general populace which would help in the development of society. He observed that the STL was collaborating with the AU on various issues and noted that both the institutions would stand to benefit from such expos. Students made a detour to check out the exhibits on display.

Prof. Ursula Hans of Sweden noted that the AU was well-equipped with all the facilities for advancement of scientific studies.

The rector, Prof. Rajendra Prasad, and the registrar, Prof. P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy, were among those present.
