APPSC interviews to be only for Group 1

Posted On: 03/07/2011      Updated On:
HYDERABAD : The government is considering dispensing with the interview for all recruitments done through the AP Public Service Commission except Group I services.

The proposal was mooted by J. Satyanarayana inquiry committee which went into allegations of irregularities in the recruitment process.

The committee decided that interviews should be conducted for Group I services in which personality, and decision-making would be tested. The committee felt interviews for other services was a waste of effort.
