CAT 2017 registrations end

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 registration process ends today, September 25.

All the interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply through prescribed format on the official website, the link for which is iimcat.ac.in

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow admission chairperson and strategic management faculty, Neeraj Dwivedi has been appointed as the convener for CAT.

Further, the CAT 2017 will be held on November 26 in around 140 test cities.

Steps to apply online for CAT 2017:

Go to the official website, iimcat.ac.in

Click on the link, 'Registration for New User'

Enter name of candidate, date of birth, email address, country and mobile number

After submitting the same, the registration ID and password will be generated

Click to submit and take print out of it for future use

Application fee:

All the candidates from the General category need to pay Rs 1,800 for each application while candidates from SC/ST/PwD category need to pay Rs 900.

Scheme of the examination:

The test will have three sections namely:

Section I:  Verbal ability and reading comprehension

Section II: Data interpretation and logical reasoning

Section III: Quantitative ability

Selection procedure:

The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round. All the selected candidates will get admission in around 20 IIM institutes established in various parts of the nation.
