Eamcet to get delayed further

The Government might take another two days for announcing the Eamcet counselling it is reported. The ongoing tussle between the Engineering college managements and the state government is delaying the the process further. So far no college has given any undertaking to the Council for Higher education so far . Now the managements are awaiting for a call from the Chief Ministers office. The managements are not in a mood to get committed on the fee hike for the next two years. They want it to be for one year only. While the Government is trying to the use the ordinances against the managements in the name of AICTE norms , infrastructure, lab facilities and other things, the managements are not coming forward to sign the agreement with the Government. Though some Ministers have announced that the issue was over, the deadlock continues.

It is learnt that Majority of engineering colleges do not have basic infrastructure to qualify for the fee hike. But few colleges have good infrastructure and they are demanding for a fee of Rs 40000 and above. Some of them have even warned that they would go to the court if the fee is not hiked . On the other hand the government has been contemplating to formulate teams to conduct inspections at professional colleges.
